Comment / Roaring down runway 25 as the first Shuttle of the day from Newcastle to Heathrow.

Comment / G-MIDC is one of two last remaining 'original' A321s that British Midland took delivery of in the late 1990s. They will soon be replaced by the newer A321s inherited from BMED, as well as five brand-new A321s that the latter had on order.

Comment / The MyTravel fleet has now been fully integrated into the Thomas Cook fleet, with this A321 being the first of it's type to wear the Thomas Cook colour scheme. Interestingly, after a vote by pilots the merged-carrier is using the old Kestrel call sign, which dates back to the days of Airtours International.

Comment / One of a recent spate of second-hand A321s joining the Monarch ranks, ex. G-MIDK.

Comment / MyTravel has been bumping up its Airbus fleet this year, with this A321 G-OMYJ joining from First Choice (ex. G-OOAF). It has also taken on A320 G-OMYA from Thomas Cook (ex. G-BXKB).

Comment / Monarch have long operated a Saturday afternoon charter from Stansted to Geneva during the winter, and this season has been no exception. A321 G-OZBL is seen here lining up on runway 05.

Comment / Turkish seem to have upgraded their daily Istanbul to Stansted service from a Boeing 737-800 to an Airbus A321 for the summer. Hopefully that's a sign that the route is performing well. TC-JRA Kütahya is seen here lining up on runway 05 for departure back to Turkey just as the sun went in...

Comment / G-MIDK is one of three bmi A321s that shall be moving on to Monarch Airlines at the start of the summer season. G-MIDJ has already been retired and is currently sitting in Monarch colours at East Midlands as G-OZBM, with G-MIDK (as G-OZBN) and G-MIDM (as G-OZBO) due to follow shortly.

Comment / TC-KTC arrives from Izmir as YK937.
